First State Chapter – IAAP Dover, DE Chartered 7/28/79

At our October Meeting we agreed to participate in two holiday civic projects — to provide clothing and hygiene items to residents of The Home of the Brave (for veterans) and Silver Lake Nursing Home (residents who have no family to visit them).  Jean will send out a shopping list or you can donate funds and Jean will do the shopping.  Please let Jean know prior to our November meeting if you will be participating in either of these projects. 

Ongoing — soda can tab tops for cancer treatments, batting and other quilting supplies (quilts are donated to nursing homes, children with cancer, Alzheimer’s patients, and others in need of a gift to warm their hearts, cancelled postage stamps, baby yarn for HUGGS organization, labels for education that provides equipment to a local elementary school — that’s only a small example of our outreach community civic projects.  jeanbracken@verizon.net.
